For 42 years, Scholastic Book Fairs have brought books to kids across the country and promoted the joy of reading.
But due to pressure from politicians like Ron DeSantis and groups like Moms for Liberty, Scholastic is putting “diverse” titles – including biographies of Black leaders like Rep. John Lewis – into a separate, optional collection for schools.
Banning books, muzzling teachers, blocking kids from reading about Black historical figures – how low can they go?!
