Good news: a supply corridor to Gaza has just opened to rush humanitarian relief to the more than 1 million children affected by the escalating crisis.
Early this morning, UNICEF and partners crossed into Gaza as part of the first 20-truck convoy to deliver critical emergency supplies.
The supplies are a lifeline of support and a sign of hope for hundreds of thousands of children trapped in a war zone with little to no access to essential services and protection. UNICEF has prepositioned additional supplies that can be brought into Gaza in a matter of hours, with more on the way, but the needs are immediate and immense.
