After learning that a post attacking a court clerk in the disgraced ex-president’s New York fraud case remained on the Trump campaign website despite an order to remove it, Judge Arthur Engoron berated Trump’s lawyers for the blatant violation of his gag order. He then asked them to "explain why this should not end up with serious sanctions, or I could possibly imprison him." Judge, this man is a habitual offender and is a threat to everyone around him as long as he has access to a computer. You know what to do!

An employee at a Staten Island deli noticed a rainbow band on customer Jasmine Adams’ watch and proceeded to call her a “transvestite,” mace her and then drag her out of the shop by her hair. Adams, who is bisexual, has filed a discrimination lawsuit against the deli. Sadly, hate crimes against LGBTQ Americans are on the rise, with a recent FBI report finding a 16% increase in such incidents from 2021 to 2022. Wonder if the hysterical, incessant anti-LGBTQ demonization campaign by Republican propagandists and politicians has anything to do with it?

The battle to establish blame for the tragic explosion at the Al-Ahli Arab hospital that killed hundreds of Palestinian citizens continued Friday as independent investigators began weighing in with new or more developed evidence that appears to cast doubt on some of Israel's claims. Clearly, we need an on-the-ground investigation by an unbiased third party in order to find out the truth.

The Justice Department said Wednesday that North Korea has been training and dispatching IT workers to fill remote positions at US companies using false identities and then funneling their salaries back to the North Korean weapons program.

Hamas releases American mother and daughter taken hostage
Judith Tai Raanan and her 17-year-old daughter, Natalie Raanan, were released to the Red Cross on Friday, thanks to negotiations by Qatar. They were released on humanitarian grounds due to the poor health of the mother. Qatar confirmed the release of the two American hostages and said they will “continue dialogue with Israel and Hamas in hope of releasing all civilian hostages from every nationality." President Biden said he was "overjoyed" at the release and vowed to continue working around the clock to free all of the hostages.

The horrific crisis unfolding in Israel has sparked a ferocious reaction from the Congressional beneficiaries of Israel's extensive lobbying operations, but none more hysterical or relentless than the response from Rep. Ritchie Torres, who has loudly been criticizing any attempts to call for a ceasefire and smearing his fellow Democrats as anti-Semitic for criticizing the Israeli bombardment of Gaza. Torres is a New York Democrat who is neither Jewish nor represents a particularly Jewish district, but he IS the 7th biggest recipient of Israeli PAC money and received 93% of his campaign donations from outside of his district. He knows where his bread is buttered; but it would be nice if he brought this same kind of energy towards helping, you know, the 36% of his district that lives in poverty.
