I had to reach out right away, friend:
Mitch McConnell’s handpicked candidate just launched his campaign to defeat my friend and colleague Sen. Jacky Rosen in Nevada – and according to analysts at FiveThirtyEight, this race is likely to decide Senate control.
I’ve been in Jacky’s shoes before, so I can tell you firsthand: She needs every bit of grassroots support she can get – and she needs it right now. Because here’s the thing: McConnell and his allies flooded Nevada with over $55 million to flip this battleground state red. I was able to win the closest Senate race in the country by 7,928 votes because of a dedicated team of grassroots supporters by my side. But the GOP is gearing up to spend even more this time around to make sure their handpicked candidate defeats Jacky.
That’s why The Washington Post is calling Jacky one of the most vulnerable senators in the entire country – and now, a recent poll shows her two points down. The only way Jacky can overcome the GOP’s spending, win in Nevada, and keep the Senate blue is with your grassroots support, but she’s falling short of her critical $50,000 rapid-response goal. So please, friend, I’m personally asking: Will you give $20 or more to split between Jacky’s campaign and Zak Malamed's right now to help her win reelection in Nevada and defend our Democratic Senate majority?
