John, I'm running for Senate because real, lasting representation matters – and this op-Ed in The Washington Post agrees.
For years, Black women have been the backbone of the Democratic Party and the key to Democratic victories across the country. But far too often, when it comes to Election Day, qualified Black women with proven records of accomplishment have been left behind.
Now, I'm facing the same barriers to entry that experienced and qualified Black women in politics have faced for years. I'm at a massive fundraising disadvantage in what could be the most competitive Senate primary in history.
So please – will you donate $5 or more to my campaign to bring a lasting force for representation to the Senate?

"[Barbara Lee] has proved to be an effective legislator who can work across the aisle on a variety of issues while maintaining her progressive values. She has worked with Republicans on matters of foreign policy and gun reform; her career is marked by unwavering and unapologetic support of police accountability, reparations, immigration reform and environmental justice — issues that are critical to Californians. Many politicians talk about courage, but Lee is the real deal."

John, I don't just talk about progress, I've been working for years to make meaningful change for the most marginalized communities, even if it meant standing alone. And if you help send me to the Senate, I can guarantee that I will continue my tireless work.
You can count on me to always put you first and to never bow to the whims of corporations or wealthy organizations. But I need your help to get there.
So please, can you chip in any amount that you can spare to my campaign so I can bring my fight for progress and justice to the Senate?
