[[link removed]]URGENT PLASTIC PETITION: Demand an end to single-use plastic production and save
baby sea turtles from CHOKING on plastic. Act Now!

This October, hundreds of baby sea turtles are emerging from their tiny shells
to embark on their journey to the glistening ocean shore. It’s an incredible sight to see, Friend! Their little flippers push through mounds of sand, hungry and eager to make it
to their new home. Some hatchlings are too hungry to wait and venture off to
search for food on the way.

A curious baby sea turtle comes across a translucent object that looks like a
delicious meal, and it begin to devour…but it discovers the object is hard to
chew. What it doesn’t know is that the “snack” is actually PLASTIC WASTE. In its haste to swallow, the plastic gets LODGED in the baby sea turtle’s tiny
throat, and it begins to CHOKE! The precious hatchling will soon die of suffocation.

Friend, our beach shores and oceans are being invaded by
single-use plastic waste, killing our beloved sea animals. Ingesting just ONE single piece of plastic has a 20% chance of killing a sea turtle. Single-use plastic production and pollution is decimating our oceans and
wildlife. We need immediate action and solutions to combat the plastic crisis to save
these innocent sea creatures. Will you join the fight? Sign the petition now >>

[[link removed]]Plastic consumption is up 4 TIMES what it was 30 years ago, with 36% of plastic produced for packaging, including single-use water bottles,
containers, and bags. Plastic is nonbiodegradable which means the plastic that
was discarded in our communities and oceans many years ago will NEVER DISAPPEAR. In fact, less than 6% of plastics are recycled annually in the United States. Of the rest, some are
burned, and the vast majority go to landfills or escape into the environment -- contaminating our water sources, food supply, and even the air we breathe.

While beach cleanups and single-use plastic bans are crucial, stopping the creation of more single-use plastics by halting the expansion of
new petrochemical plants will address plastic pollution at the source. We must divest from petrochemicals and invest in safe alternatives to preserve human health and allow our shared climate and
oceans to thrive. We can no longer tolerate Big Plastic and Big Oil’s
construction of dirty, massive plastic factories that disproportionately spew toxic pollutants into nearby communities of color, increasing the risk of serious health conditions for nearby residents.

Single-use plastics have no home on our planet once they are used, and they
threaten the future of people, wildlife, and the planet. That’s why we’re calling on environmentalists like YOU to speak up before our
11:59pm deadline TONIGHT. Please, Friend, take action
against single-use plastic production and pollution now before it’s too late!
