Transphobic Mail Piece Attacking Sylvia Swayne Reaches Voters
Last night, news broke that a mysterious (and potentially illegal) piece of literature had reached voters in Alabama house District 55. This mailer – which contained no paid for by information – used transphobic language to describe Victory Fund endorsed candidate Sylvia Swayne is the first out trans person to run for state office in Alabama and would be the first out trans person elected in the state’s history!
Victory Fund issued the following statement condemning the piece and to stand with Sylvia. Read the full statement here.
