Recently, Conservatives in South Carolina came before the U.S. Supreme Court, seeking to make it easier to gerrymander -- a dangerous deviation from the established legal process. They’re asking the U.S. Supreme Court to play both judge and jury, dismissing the district court's fact-based decisions.

“A lower court struck down the South Carolina map because it determined that while the state’s GOP-controlled legislature’s goal was to shore up Republican control over the state’s First Congressional District, the legislature did so by excluding Black voters from this district…”

This is not justice; this is an affront to the very ideals of our nation. It's a callous disregard for the rights of voters, a blatant attempt to increase the burden on those fighting for voting rights, and a sickening deference to gerrymandering legislatures.
