John, Adam Schiff has spent a lot of time on the campaign trail talking about his support for Medicare for All – but it took him more than a decade to support single-payer healthcare. Meanwhile, Congresswoman Lee has been a fierce advocate for Medicare for All from day one. We'll get into the specifics below, but if you don't have the time to spare, can you chip in $5 or more to Barbara Lee's Senate campaign now?
When Medicare for All was first introduced in Congress, not only did Adam Schiff decline to support the effort – he also helped lead a conservative coalition that pushed cuts to Medicare and inhibited our ability to pass Medicare for All.
And the tale has been the same for years now. From the first introduction of Medicare for All in 2003 to over a decade later, Adam Schiff not only failed to support the bill, but he also supported multiple efforts to cut and undermine Medicare.
In 2017, after more than a dozen years of siding on the wrong side of the health care debate, Schiff FINALLY co-sponsored Medicare for All – but don't count this as a success yet. Because in the same year, he also voted NO on the Congressional Progressive Caucus' People's Budget – which would allow states to transition to single-payer health care systems and lower costs of prescription drugs.

John, Californians deserve someone who has never wavered or stalled on progress as their next senator – and Barbara Lee is that person.
