John, we're a
little sad right now.

But let’s be clear: Jessica Cisneros exceeded all expectations against
Trump’s favorite Democrat despite millions in dark money and
corporate-funded negative attack ads against her.

This was a fight to prove a young woman with a whole community behind her
could take on some of the most powerful corporate interests in our
country.

Jessica went farther than nearly every other progressive challenger before
her and lost by a slim margin — less than 3,000 votes.

This loss means we have to work twice as hard to elect Jamaal Bowman in
NY-16 in his primary challenge against Eliot Engel who takes tons of
corporate cash from the military industrial complex, as well as supporting
all the other Justice Democrats like Marie Newman (IL-03) and Morgan
Harper (OH-03) on March 17th.

entrenched establishment and have the resources to fight harder than ever
before to elect bold leaders like Jamaal Bowman in New York and Marie
Newman in Illinois.

We are in a fight for the soul of the Democratic Party and we need your
support in order to elect more diverse, working-class candidates who will
fight for our values alongside Justice Democrats and The Squad in
Congress.

We’re up against a lot this cycle. The DCCC decided to blacklist vendors
that work for primary campaigns in order to hurt our candidates who are
fighting for change.

Right now, our political system is set up to block progressive, working
class women of color like Jessica. Nancy Pelosi and the Koch network
poured in money last minute to help defeat Jessica, but the inspiring
movement Jessica has built on the border was victorious in proving we’re
within striking distance of bringing fundamental change. The corporate
establishment is scared and desperate to hold onto their power.

After AOC’s victory over Joe Crowley two years ago, we don’t have the
element of surprise and the party machine and corporate donors on the
other side are fighting back hard. We need a grassroots movement of folks
who are committed to transforming the Democratic Party to fight for
voters, not corporate special interests.

establishment and continue to push our movement forward.

Thank you so much for your support, I am honored to be in this fight for
justice with you. I know that together we will continue to make progress
for our communities. I am so honored to fight alongside Jessica Cisneros
and the people of South Texas.

This is just the beginning for Jessica, and it’s certainly not the end of
the movement we’ve built together in South Texas.

In solidarity,

Alexandra Rojas
