Congress should be focused on responding to the pressing crises in Israel and Ukraine, preventing a government shutdown, and delivering concrete results for the American people.

Unfortunately, extreme House Republicans seem content playing partisan games and pursuing chaos instead of fighting for solutions. It's been two weeks since Speaker Kevin McCarthy was ousted by his own party, and House Republicans still haven't elected a new speaker. MAGA Republicans McCarthy, Steve Scalise, and now Jim Jordan all failed to secure enough votes from the divided House GOP.

Extreme House Republicans have made it clear that they're unwilling to work amongst themselves, let alone govern responsibly and effectively. That’s why no matter who they end up electing as the next House speaker we need to ensure that Chris has the tools needed to win in his tough race so we can retake the House majority in 2024.
