Hi John,
Earlier today, I voted in yet another speaker vote that ended without actually electing a speaker. Republicans can’t coalesce around a candidate, and despite an offer from Democrats to work with anyone who seeks the speakership who is not in the throes of MAGA extremism, that is apparently too tall an order for House Republicans.
We’re officially on day 17 without a speaker. The House is functionally at a standstill, and the disinterest shown by Republicans in actually governing is appalling.
John, the Republican party is in complete and utter chaos. And the only way to get our country back on track is by electing a Democratic majority in the House of Representatives next year. If you can swing it, click here to chip in $5 or more to my re-election campaign so I can continue fighting for you.

I ran for Congress after the insurrection to fight like hell to save our democracy, and I promise to continue doing exactly that. House Republicans pose a considerable danger to our democracy, and we need all hands on deck to elect a Democratic majority next year.
