Roll Call just reported that right-wing radical Schweikert was one of only a “handful of other incumbents in closely-watched races” that were outraised by their opponent. And Andrei Cherny did just that. In fact, Andrei was 1 of only 3 challengers in America to outraise the incumbent in the last two quarters. Here’s what you should know about this must-watch race:
- With the help of partisan gerrymandering and a flood of corporate PAC money, Republicans won a narrow House Majority in November 2022.
- Extremist members like David Schweikert voted against the bipartisan bill to keep the government open and to install Jim Jordan as Speaker.
-Democrats only need to pick up 5 seats to retake the Majority and bring an end to the chaos Schweikert and his fellow radicals have caused. The Cook Political Report says 10 Republican-held seats are toss-ups – that includes Andrei’s race. He’s already gaining momentum, and your help could put him over the top.
