Team, Virginia’s state legislative elections are just weeks away, and at the NDRC we can only be sure of one thing: We're in a new era.
That’s why we’ve endorsed 99 Democracy Defenders across Virginia who will fight to defend our progress and secure fairness in our elections. Will you split a donation today between the NDRC and the Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus to support our work nationwide?
I’m incredibly proud of the critical role that the NDRC’s grassroots supporters played in helping to elect Virginia Democrats in 2017 and 2019. Since then, we’ve seen these Democracy Defenders advocate for reproductive rights, defeat anti-choice legislation, pass reforms that help get more citizens to the voting booth, and more.
They were able to make significant strides with only a slight Democratic majority. Now, this next election gives us an important choice: (1) We can either help elect more pro-democracy candidates who will continue fighting for progress or (2) We can allow MAGA Republicans to take full control of Virginia’s state government and win the power to advance their anti-choice, anti-voting agenda.
