It's been QUITE the October, John. Here's a refresher on how Brian Fitzpatrick and his fellow Republicans have FUBAR'ed* the House:

FIRST: Matt Gaetz ousted former Speaker Kevin McCarthy simply because he worked with Democrats to avoid a government shutdown (which would have tanked our economy).

THEN: Republicans decided their best bet was Steve Scalise – a guy who once called himself "David Duke without the baggage." But Gaetz and his MAGA pals didn't like that…

THEN: The new GOP candidate is Trump's hand-picked choice, Jim Jordan – a MAGA election denier who wants a national abortion ban. Fitzpatrick voted for him TWICE.

MEANWHILE: There's a crisis in Israel, we have less than a month before another government shutdown, and Ukraine is in dire need of aid to stand against Putin. NONE of this can be addressed without a Speaker.

NOW: Republicans just failed to elect a Speaker on their THIRD vote this week.

This chaos is what happens when weak leaders let punks like Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene run amok. And it's putting not just our country but democracies around the world at risk.

When I was an Army officer, we didn't let this kind of reckless, selfish behavior stand because we knew what was at stake. That's the strong leadership I'll bring to the House – I just need your help to get there. Will you pitch in your first donation of $10 to my campaign?

Thanks for being in this fight with me,

*That's military-speak for "F**ked Up Beyond All Recognition" – and I'd say it applies to House Republicans pretty damn accurately right now.
