John, here we go again: New day, same Republican chaos.
House Republicans just failed to elect a speaker, again, and they’re not making any progress. We’re right back where we started… over 280 days ago. So let’s see if I can introduce any organization here, and explain how we got from point A to point whatever-this-is.
But before I do, I have to ask if you’ll donate to my campaign. I’m fighting to protect our Democracy from Republican extremists in Congress – but I need your support to stay in this fight. This campaign is (and always has been) powered by grassroots donors, so please, will you chip in $27 right now to help fuel my fight? >>
First, it took House Republicans fifteen votes to elect a speaker back in January. Kevin McCarthy finally caved into the demands of the far-right and got his gavel. Months later, those same extremists have already kicked him out. And now?
Now: Insurrectionist Jim Jordan has failed his third attempt to become Speaker. The House is currently speaker-less and unable to function.
And how is the GOP responding? By blaming me and other Democrats for their own failures! Frankly, that’s none of my business. Since day one, I’ve been continuing the work for our people and combating Republican attempts to strong-arm our Democracy, and I’m not stopping anytime soon.
The truth is, Republicans will continue to enable their MAGA base, and I’ll keep fighting back against them – but only as long as I’m here. I’m counting on you, John, to help me stay here and fight.
I need your help to fuel my fight for Democracy in Congress. I’ve set a goal of 250 grassroots donations before midnight. Will you chip in $27, or whatever you can, to hit this emergency goal so I can keep up my critical work?
Thank you,
Maxwell Frost
