Dear John, The fall parliamentary session is in full swing. After 8 years of Justin Trudeau, Canadian households are facing thousands of dollars in new costs because of massive inflationary deficits and punishing tax hikes from this Liberal Government. Only common sense Conservatives will bring home powerful paycheques for workers by ending the wasteful spending, balancing the budget, and bringing home lower prices and interest rates for Canadians. See how Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives have been fighting for your priorities in Ottawa: The cost of government has driven up the price of the goods we buy and the interest we pay. The government must introduce a plan to balance the budget before the next Bank of Canada interest rate decision to decrease inflation and interest rates, and to introduce this in the House of Commons. Conservatives have a common sense plan to balance the budget to bring down interest rates so Canadians keep their homes: <[link removed]> Last week, the Liberal government quietly extended the amnesty period for complying with the May 2020 firearms ban to October 30, 2025. This is critically important news for the two million trained, tested, and vetted Canadian firearms owners who Justin Trudeau has demonized for the past 8 years. Make no mistake: Justin Trudeau and his Public Safety Ministers have promised to confiscate the firearms of millions of law-abiding Canadians and they have every intention of doing so: <[link removed]> Conservatives unequivocally condemn the invasion of Israel by Hamas terrorists. We also condemn the sadistic violence that Hamas has carried out against innocent civilians. Israel has the right to defend itself against these attacks and respond against the attackers. My thoughts are with the families, and especially those Canadians, who have lost loved ones or who are waiting to hear whether they are safe. See Pierre Poilievre’s speech pledging Canada’s support and solidarity with Israel and the Canadian Jewish community. <[link removed]> It was great to tour Cereals Canada with my colleague MP Marty Morantz. We discussed the expertise that Cereals Canada provides for the Canadian wheat industry and trade partners, the value of Canada’s high quality wheat, and the impact of the carbon tax on the industry. Canadian farmers play a significant role in feeding our country and the world. I am so proud of the hard work done by farmers and members of our agri-food sector. Your feedback is valued.
