A huge thank you to everyone who attended a most enjoyable conversation with Sir Robbie Gibb and Mark Wallace yesterday evening. As I mentioned last night, the TaxPayers’ Alliance believes the licence fee is outdated and in desperate need of an overhaul. That’s why we’ve launched our Axe the Tax campaign ([link removed]) .
As part of taking on the BBC establishment an important step is decriminalising non-payment of the licence fee. The government recently launched a consultation ([link removed]) on the issue and we are leading the charge to make this happen.
We believe that criminal enforcement is excessive, unfair and disproportionately harmful to vulnerable groups. Don’t let your voice be ignored.
