Breitbart News reports that Muslim antisemite Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) ignored journalists on Capitol Hill Wednesday who pressed her about her now-debunked statement blaming Israel for the deadly blast at a Gaza hospital.

Initial reports claimed, predictably, that the strike on Gaza City’s al-Ahli Baptist Hospital was carried out by Israel.

“Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that,” Tlaib tweeted. “@POTUS this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire & help de-escalate. Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood.”

But an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) investigation into the explosion swiftly concluded the hospital had been hit by a rocket from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). An IDF spokesman took to CNN to elaborate on Israel’s findings, which absolved the Jewish state from wrongdoing.

President Biden himself said Israel is not responsible for the bombing, citing data presented to him by the Pentagon. “Based on the information we have seen today it appears the result of an errant rocket fired by a terrorist group in Gaza,” Biden added.

Confronted by Punchbowl’s Max Cohen and National Review’s John McCormack about her grotesque lie targeting Israel, Tlaib simply ignored them and rushed into a waiting vehicle.

Will she be held accountable for her ugly lie, a lie that no doubt poisoned the minds of many against Israel? Not by the feckless Republican Party she won’t.
