1. Following the money tells a story. In episode 2, we learn who is funding the push for vouchers. Spoiler alert - it's a handful of billionaires.
2. Billionaires playing in politics isn't new or unique to Texas. What makes the billionaires in Texas stand out is that they are pushing to impose religion onto government.
3. In order to make the case for vouchers, you have to first discredit public schools. In some ways, just having this debate is doing irreparable harm to our public schools. And that ultimately hurts students, educators, and in some places, the whole community.

1. I never tire of hearing stories like Chris's where ordinary citizens do the work to become experts and advocates. It reminds me of how powerful we all are!
2. We have a billionaire problem in Texas. I do, however, believe that with exposure, their power will diminish as people reclaim their civic power.
