Friend,
Next week, over 150 undocumented youth leaders from around the country will come together at United We Dream’s UndocuSummit 2023. It will be the largest gathering of undocumented youth in years, and also marks United We Dream’s 15th anniversary!
UndocuSummit will be a place for immigrant youth to gather, build community, learn from each other, strategize, and create the future we deserve. We’ll be building the foundation for future wins for our community and inspiring the next generation of immigrant youth leaders.
I got my start in organizing after attending a similar event to the UndocuSummit in 2018. I always knew I wanted to support undocumented students at my high school, but I didn’t know how to go about it until UWD gave me the opportunity to learn about the power of organizing from my peers. When I returned back home to Kansas City, I knew that organizing would be my passion for the rest of my life.
UndocuSummit gives undocumented youth like me the tools we need to organize and create change in our communities.
Our summit next week is just ONE of the countless ways United We Dream is putting undocumented youth at the forefront of the movement for immigrant justice. All of that work is made possible by donations, so today I’m asking:
Will you support the ongoing work United We Dream is doing to uplift immigrant leaders like myself with a donation of $10 today?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
People will reference UndocuSummit 2023 for years to come as the space where immigrant youth paved the way for our own future.
Thank you in advance for supporting immigrant justice.
Yazmin
