CLASP Launches Equity Matters Series with “Addressing Poverty, Racial Injustice, and Threats to Multiracial Democracy”

On October 12, CLASP launched Equity Matters, a virtual discussion series. CLASP Launches Economic Equity Project in Mississippi and North Carolina

CLASP recently launched a new project, Building Equitable Economic Supports in the South (BEES). Through the BEES project, CLASP is working directly with community organizations and policy organizations in Mississippi and North Carolina to improve the economic well-being of people experiencing poverty.

CLASP Staff Receive Appointments

Congratulations to India Heckstall and Christian Collins on their recent appointments! India was named to the U.S. Department of Education's Student Loan Debt Relief Negotiated Rulemaking Committee, and Christian was appointed to the D.C. Labor and Employment Relations Association as its first Student Board Member. Both appointments are related to the issues they address at CLASP, and we can't wait to see the great work they'll do in the coming months.
