When my kids were growing up, we all differed greatly on how spicy we wanted our food to be. If I made a pot of chili, Kid 2 wanted it as bland as possible, Kid 1 wanted a little zing, and Mom wanted it to burn her mouth for 30 minutes after she finished eating.
