Last year, when I was traveling across the state to campaign and connect with Arizonans from all walks of life, my team and I ate fast food a lot.

But one specific stop was special — a Burger King in Tempe.

That’s because this exact Burger King is where I got my first job when I was 16!

Looking back now, it’s amazing to think that a younger me serving burgers would grow up to be Arizona’s 24th Governor.

But that’s the beauty of our democracy at work — anyone can thrive and be successful.

And because this grassroots team banded together to spread our campaign’s unifying message and combat the lies and chaos coming from my former opponent Kari Lake, my job now is serving Arizonans from the Ninth Floor.

I know what it’s like to make minimum wage, which is why as Governor, I’m fighting for working families, union workers, and everyday Arizonans. I’m also building partnerships across the globe to bring more good-paying jobs to our state.
