This is sad to watch, John.

We still have no speaker of the House, and the GOP is focused on the wrong priorities. While they focus on political games, there is a hearing in my committee to ban books – all while Republicans continue bickering amongst themselves.

John, we can’t wait while precious time is wasted infighting. I’m ready to get back to work. We are facing a government shutdown in 30 days and are no closer to a resolution.

This has been painful for me to watch, John. Critical legislation on the line, and I don’t want to spend my time with distractions that do nothing to support the American people.
