[Join us for International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day on Saturday, November 19, 2022]([link removed])

We're just one month away from [International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day]([link removed]), which takes place on November 18, 2023. On this annual occasion, also known as Survivor Day, thousands of people affected by suicide loss gather at events around the world. Each year, participants join a community of people who understand firsthand the nature of grief that accompanies a suicide death, and together, find strength, hope, and healing through connection.

People who attend Survivor Day events find that the connections they make are central to their healing journeys. Joining a community of people who have also been affected by suicide enables many participants to better understand their own loss, hear about coping strategies that have helped others, and learn of resources that can support them through their grief.

For those who have lost a loved one to suicide, but have never attended a Survivor Day event, there are so many reasons to participate –– and for those who have attended in years past, there are so many reasons to return. In an article for our Real Stories blog, ["10 Reasons to Attend a Survivor Day Event,"]([link removed]) past attendees shared what their Survivor Day experiences meant to them. Here is what one person said:

“Attending Survivor Day has made it possible for me to carry on. Seeing how a room full of people dealt with their losses, and had the same questions I did for decades, I felt hopeful for the first time since it happened.”

Hope, connection, resources, inspiration, comfort... these are just a few reasons why people participate in Survivor Day events, year after year. We hope to see you at this year's events, on Saturday, November 18. There's still plenty of time to register.
