To help journalists with their reporting, the National Press Club Journalism Institute and the non-partisan research group OpenSecrets are hosting a free training on the basics of how to cover campaign finance and lobbying.

But women donors remain underrepresented in fundraising for state elections across the country, creating a gender gap that can have wide-ranging impacts on women candidates and political representation.
