John,

As Oregon's AG, I have been a champion for reproductive freedoms from the beginning. No matter what the courts eventually decide, I intend to keep fighting and to support my Democratic AG colleagues across the country--many of whose states are looking to our leadership here in Oregon.

Today, the United States Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the case of June Medical Services v. Russo, a Louisiana case that could call into question our right to a safe, legal abortion. Considering the lineup of justices hearing the case, I worry about the future of Roe v. Wade.

This case is just one step in a coordinated plan to roll back our reproductive rights. Trump has led this effort, stacking our nation's federal courts with lifetime-appointed judges, many of whom would have us return to a pre-Roe America. Even with a new president, the future of Roe would remain uncertain and likely contested, fought, and litigated for years to come.

One thing is certain, John: I will never stop fighting for reproductive rights. We will keep pushing Oregon forward, and fighting those trying to drag the country backward. The fact is that an overwhelming majority of Americans agree: the government has no place in our personal medical decisions.

We can't take anything for granted right now. Please join my campaign to ensure our basic reproductive freedoms are protected for generations to come.
