Big news: for weeks now, we have been working with our friends in Congress to fight back against a proposed ban on travel to Iran.

Our efforts are working. Last night we secured an amendment to strip the travel ban language out of this proposed bill.
Our work is not done. We are still pressing lawmakers to vote in favor of this amendment, and with the vote as early as this afternoon, we need to keep the pressure on.

While targeted measures to prevent hostage-taking in Iran are appropriate, a travel ban would constitute yet another measure to punish ordinary civilians for actions they have no control over. As your constituent, I call on you to oppose this measure.
No government, whether Iranian or American, should threaten jail time to prevent us from being able to see our loved ones. I urge you to reject this harmful measure that would tear families apart. “
