Across the country more and more maternity units are closing because of extreme Republican policies restricting women’s healthcare. Three more maternity hospitals closed in Alabama recently leaving thousands of women without access to care during a pregnancy.
John James says he’ll represent the district, because voters overwhelmingly supported access to reproductive healthcare. But on the record, he’s compared abortion to genocide, has spoken against abortion even in cases of rape and incest, and recently voted to restrict safe, legal abortion medication. And he has even supported a speaker of the House who has called for a national ban on abortions.
Don’t let James’ turnaround soundbites distract from his record - he’s waging a war on our reproductive rights and has promised to ‘not stop fighting until we end abortion.’
It’s one of the reasons why I know our district is already ready for change. And it’s a large part of why I’m running for Congress.
