Over the past few days Freedom Caucus Chair Scott Perry’s favorite flunkie, Jim Jordan, has lost two rounds of voting in his bid to become Speaker of the House. Whoever eventually wins the election for Speaker, the Freedom Caucus has once again made US, the American people, the real losers. We’ve lost credibility. We’ve lost faith in our institutions. Most importantly for now, we’ve lost time.
It’s been nearly three weeks since the House had a Speaker, and there is no end in sight. This is all as war breaks out in the Middle East and another government shutdown looms.
We MUST stand up to the Freedom Caucus. That starts with defeating their leader Scott Perry. I’m asking you to donate now to help us do that.
It’s time to stop Scott Perry and his cronies. They’ve undermined our country, and our Democratic institutions for too long. They’ve embarrassed us for too long. It’s time to fight back.
Last year, we almost defeated Perry. He came closer to losing than any Republican incumbent in PA. We did that together, without the support of the national Democrats. Next year, Perry is already at the top of the DCCC target list.
