I’m used to legacy media bureaus attack us and the men and women we represent.
So when I saw this article from Bloomberg sticking up for our client, Simon Ateba, I had to flag it for you.
I have to tell you, it is refreshing to see that some in the media still believe in the basic principle of free press and the First Amendment.
If you still believe in our Constitution and the journalists willing to fight for it, I hope I can count on your generous, tax-deductible donation today.
Simon went into the White House Press Briefing room time after time hoping to do his job.
But Karine Jean-Pierre wouldn’t let him.
She refused to call on him, and when he reached out to their office, he was ignored and blown off.
Simon had no choice but to shout his tough questions even without being called on.
And now, the White House is trying to punish him – and hundreds of other reporters.
The writing is on the wall: the Biden White House only wants media they can control in their briefing room…
…that is the real reason the White House revoked Simon’s pass to attend White House briefings.
We can’t let that stand.
We need brave reporters like Simon, speaking up and demanding answers to questions that matter.
If you agree, I hope you’ll contribute $35 or more to fight for free press, fight for accountability, and fight for Simon and cases like his.
Simon is taking a stand, and I hope you’ll stand with him.
