Dear friend,
I am speechless about the current state of the House of Representatives. We have gone weeks without a Speaker of the House, and frankly, Conservatives should be embarrassed. We cannot address the issues facing our country without a speaker. They must pass legislation to fund the government to avoid a looming government shutdown, and to provide support for Israel and Ukraine.
Far-right extremists have upended convention and created a chaotic situation that leaves everyday Americans behind. The resources we could be delivering to communities across this nation are on hold because of their inability to govern. My colleagues and I are ready to work in a bipartisan manner to conduct meaningful legislative business for our country. I hope my Republican colleagues join me in this effort.
