John, I love Texas and our people. It’s my favorite place in the world. That’s why it’s so upsetting to me to see Republicans like Ted Cruz dragging us down and keeping us in the dark ages. After 30 years of GOP control, we are at the bottom in education spending and outcomes. Our senator won’t lift the military blockade to confirm nominees. We’re spending millions in taxpayer money on a backward immigration plan. And Republicans like Ted Cruz are refusing to pass any common sense gun legislation. Texas could have it so much better than this, John! But we won’t achieve everything we can if we leave Republicans in power to destroy our state, like they’ve done for three decades. We need new leadership. I am the Democrat who will stop Ted Cruz and get to work fighting for the issues Texans really care about. But I need your help.
