John, my heart is broken. It breaks for the innocent Palestinians who have lost loved ones, their homes, and any remaining sense of security.
And we’re seeing the innocent civilians in Gaza dehumanized by the media, and blamed for this violence.
Our communities have watched in fear and heartbreak as Palestinians have been dismissed as “human animals” and “savages.” Mixed with our grief and heartbreak for the hostages taken in Israel and the civilians attacked in Gaza is a profound fear—because we’ve been here before. Growing up in a post-9/11 America, this is familiar heartache, familiar fear.
I’m terrified of what this means for our community. War has real consequences. Children are being robbed of their innocence and their lives. These death tolls we’re seeing represent real human beings who are no longer present with their loved ones.
And right now, those real, vulnerable children need our support.
So I’m asking you and everyone reading this to pitch in to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF). The PCRF is the largest humanitarian organization in Palestine, providing medical relief and humanitarian aid to those in need.
If you’re able to, please click here or the button below to help provide humanitarian relief to Palestinians caught in the middle of this horrible violence. No amount is too small to make a real impact, John. >>
Let’s stand with those suffering,
Nida Allam
