Dear John,

Thank you to voters across the 3rd District for your strong show of support in the Primary Election. Serving as your Representative in Congress is the highest honor that I could ask for, and I will continue to fight for our community every day. 

In the last year alone, the Democratic House of Representatives has passed over 400 bipartisan bills; bills meant to improve education, create good middle-class jobs, fight climate change, and give everyone quality, affordable health insurance.

We will work together to pursue a kinder and more dignified political and civil discourse for our children to inherit. We will get our nation back on track by working together to strengthen the Affordable Care Act, strengthening our investments in education, and combating climate change.  

The last several elections have exposed the reality of a deeply divided nation. This is not new to America. Our history is filled with periods of conflict, but America always moves towards a " More Perfect Union". As President Lincoln said, we must “bind up the nation’s wounds.” We can do this together. Because of you, my heart is filled with hope for the future. Now we must come together for the sake of our nation and for mankind. 

God bless the United States of America, and may we once again be the shining light on the hill.
