Cherri was sacrificially serving our country in the National Coast Guard when she became pregnant with her third child.
This unexpected pregnancy had her scared, confused, and searching for help. Having to make the choice between abortion, adoption, or parenting her child was a difficult one for her to make. Moms often feel inadequate to parent because of their limited resources.
Like many moms in her shoes, Cherri couldn’t bring herself to look at her baby on the ultrasound or listen to the heartbeat. She didn’t want to feel any connection to her child.
Following her first instinct, she began to search online for a nearby abortion facility when she came upon Human Coalition. Cherri felt cared for when she was quickly connected with a nearby pregnancy resource center. It was the first time she felt encouraged that she could parent her baby well.
