Graham wasted no time: He used his launch announcement as a shallow attempt to smear my record and promised to spend $5 million of his own money on this race, beginning with TV ads airing next week.

Look, I’ve spent a lot of time telling you about my other Republican opponent, Mark Robinson – an extremist with the backing of Donald Trump. That’s because he’s a threat to our North Carolinian values with a history of espousing dangerous conspiracy theories and bigoted rhetoric.

But the harsh reality is this: NC Republican politicians keep moving further right with even more extreme ideas every day.
