Earlier this month, I joined representatives from the Tulalip Tribe and other local leaders to celebrate the reopening of a crucial culvert, which will be a major benefit to the region’s salmon population.
I fought for federal funding for this project because Puget Sound is a salmon powerhouse and absolutely crucial to the communities who rely on salmon – but only if we fight for projects like this one.
I’m proud to have worked hard in the Senate to pass historic investments in natural resources and climate action. Together, we’ve passed The Great Outdoors Act, protected Bristol Bay and Arctic Refuge, and funded the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
I will always advocate for preserving the natural resources that Washingtonians rely on, full stop.
