The results are in - and they're not what we hoped for; the Lord's plan will be taking our family in another direction.
Congratulations to Mark Robinson on winning the Republican nomination, we will support his efforts to serve as the 35th Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina.
First and foremost, I must thank my wife and my girls. My family defines me and I'm eternally gratefully for all their sacrifices over the course of the campaign. Carrie, Ellie, Lainey, and Evie Joy have been champs throughout this campaign and I appreciate them sharing themselves with y'all.
I've said from day one, "it's not a me thing, it's a we thing." I couldn't have reached as many hard working North Carolinians as we have without the dedication of our amazing team, lead by campaign manager David Capen, Political Director Caleb Johnson, and Communications Director Deanna Brunner.
Thank you to all of our great supporters who encouraged and motivated our efforts every day: our countless number of volunteers in all corners of the state. Y'all have given such tremendous amounts of your time, talent, and treasure. We will never be able to adequately repay you; however, please know you'll always have a friend in the Gebhardt family.
Finally, this is not the end. This is just the beginning of a new chapter, our next chapter. We will continue to advocate for the conservative principles which keep America and North Carolina great.
Sincerely,
Greg
