Dear Reader,
Last year, we covered almost 32,000 elections, including 19,000 “ultra-local” elections—the kind where coverage is MOST needed and least provided.
But our goal isn’t 35,000 or, even 50,000 elections, though. It’s, roughly, 170,000 per year. The goal is to cover every single race in America.
Will you help voters receive the top-notch election information they need by joining the Ballotpedia Society today?
As you know, ultra-local election information is difficult to find.
As we look toward the 2023 midterm elections and the 2024 elections, comprehensive coverage remains our long-term goal.
A huge stride towards this goal happened this year, in our biggest election coverage expansion to date, we have added coverage of over 8,000 school board contests in 2023 and will continue adding more such election coverage in subsequent years.
This comprehensive school board election coverage includes articles detailing school board races by district and candidate. We’re also aggressively collecting endorsements, surveys, and ratings for school board candidates in our coverage scope. Since school board elections are largely non-partisan and have no indication of a political party, this is often the only way to inform the voter of a candidate’s ideology and can help them determine who to vote for.
Will you join the Ballotpeedia Society membership challenge to help give voters the robust, reliable, and important information they need to make informed decisions at the ballot box?
Thank you for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Leslie Graves |
