John, I want to tell you the plain truth about this headline.

When last quarter’s numbers were reported, me and my opponent’s fundraising totals were nearly identical - but there was one major difference. 

The majority of my donations came from Texas. The majority of his donations came from out of state. 

John, I think that speaks for itself, don’t you? 

Texans know the importance of holding this seat. It could make or break the House majority for Democrats. And while it’s clear that folks are getting behind our campaign, it’s also clear that there are some outside entities trying to sway the race.

I’m counting on donors like you to help me combat the outside money pouring into our district. Will you help us bring in another $15,000 before the end of the week?

John, I won’t lie: this primary election is going to be close. 

Texans are standing behind my campaign because they’re confident that I’m ready to get to work on day one. I’m an experienced and effective legislator that’s able to work across the aisle to get things done without sacrificing my progressive values. 

In our current political climate, there’s just too much at stake to hand this seat over to someone with no experience.

That’s why I’m asking you to stand with me in the face of all of these outside donations to my opponent. Will you chip in $25 or any amount to help us hit our goal before Friday at midnight?
