I have a reputation for being a straight shooter, so let me say this plainly: The modern Republican Party is made up of a bunch of idiots.

Donald Trump, the leading contender to be the GOP’s presidential nominee, is under indictment.

Ron DeSantis is running on extremist culture wars.

And all the while, congressional Republicans are pushing to cut Social Security and Medicare for millions of Americans.

How out-of-touch can these people be? It turns out, a whole lot...

I’m ashamed of how devolved the GOP has become — but I’m even more scared to think what would happen if they take on more power in 2024.
