John,
We have some news that we’re thrilled to announce: Issue One is hosting a premiere event called “Safe Tech, Safe Kids: Confronting Social Media’s Harms to Youth.” The event will convene key leaders and stakeholders for a comprehensive look at how social media impacts children, and how we can advance meaningful solutions to protect kids online. The event also marks the official launch of Safe Tech, Safe Kids, a campaign partnership led by Project Liberty in collaboration with Issue One, our Council for Responsible Social Media, and 5Rights Foundation.
Register now to tune in on October 23rd from 1pm to 5pm ET to hear these moving and insightful conversations.
This event will bring together experts from children’s advocacy, tech reform, pediatrics, K-12 education, and other communities and feature panels that highlight the key challenges facing youth online and advance meaningful solutions. Panels include storyteller sessions with those who have been directly impacted by social media’s harms, as well as conversations about how social media disrupts children’s communities, how generative artificial intelligence will impact child online safety, and paths forward for making social media safer and healthier for kids.
Hope you can join us,
Alix Fraser Council for Responsible Social Media Director
