John,
Today, gun violence is the leading cause of death for children and teens
in America, and every day it kills 120 people and wounds hundreds more.
We must continue to hold the gun industry accountable, and show them that
we will never back down. The gun industry has flooded our communities with
guns, extremists are pushing their violent agendas, and we—and our
children—are paying the price.
Continuing the fight for gun safety all over the country would be
impossible without supporters like you—that's why we rely on grassroots
donors to keep us going. [ [link removed] ]Donate to support our work by making a

When we say we're putting the gun industry on notice, we mean it. Earlier
this month, Smith & Wesson relocated its headquarters from Massachusetts
to Tennessee. While they were cutting the ribbon to their new HQ,
volunteers led by Students Demand Action leaders showed up and sent them a
message that their #KillerBusiness is not welcome in Tennessee.
At the same time, we're activating gun safety supporters across the
country to submit comments in favor of a newly proposed gun safety rule
from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) that
would close dangerous loopholes in our background check system.
We're already seeing widespread support for the new rule—but right now,
tens of thousands of opposition comments are piling up, many with baseless
claims about "tyranny". We know that the gun lobby, and the gun industry,
are going all out to stop this rule from taking effect, so in the next few
weeks we're doubling down on our campaign to submit as many comments as
possible in support of the new background checks rule.
Everytown for Gun Safety, and our supporters, are the counterweight to the
gun lobby and their extremist allies. We are working in communities all
over the country, and at all levels of government, to demand life-saving
action to end gun violence.
We have never backed down from the hard work it will take, and we never
will. [ [link removed] ]Make a donation today to help us keep fighting for gun safety and
holding the gun industry accountable.
Thank you for being with us,
Everytown for Gun Safety
