🚨 Idaho’s medical system on the brink of collapse
Center for Reproductive Rights Donate

Dear friend,

In their ruthless quest to ban abortion entirely, Idaho politicians are endangering pregnant people and driving so many physicians out of state that Idaho's medical system is on the brink of collapse. The Center for Reproductive Rights is fighting the extreme abortion bans in Idaho, and we can't do it without your support.

SUPPORT THIS WORK

Physicians in Idaho should be allowed to legally perform lifesaving and health-preserving care without waiting for their patient to be near death.

Just last month, the Center filed a lawsuit, Adkins v. State of Idaho, challenging the limited scope of medical exceptions in both of Idaho's abortion bans.

This lawsuit was filed alongside a similar case in Tennessee and a complaint in Oklahoma, and comes only months after we filed our case Zurawski v. State of Texas, the first-ever case brought on behalf of people denied abortions due to state abortion bans since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

As we expand our caseload, we need your support more than ever. Are you with us?

JOIN THE FIGHT

While politicians are doing everything they can to hide the harms caused by Idaho's extreme abortion bans, the plaintiffs in our case are standing up and speaking the truth about how these laws are putting the health and safety of all Idahoans at risk. I hope you will consider making a gift today to support this critical, timely work.

In solidarity,

Gail Deady
Senior Staff Attorney

P.S. We are proudly representing seven brave plaintiffs in Idaho: Four women who were denied medically necessary abortion care in their home state; two Idaho physicians who provide obstetrical care; and a professional membership organization consisting of Idaho physicians, medical residents, and medical students. You can read their stories here.
