Advancing Core Advocacy Training in New Mexico Tribal Communities for New Advocates November 14 - 16, 2023 The Arc of New Mexico This in-person training is the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women's (CSVANW) 40 Hour-Core Advocacy Training that provides new domestic violence, sexual assault advocates and first responders with state certification across New Mexico and the Four Corners region. CSVANW's 40 Hour Advancing Core Advocacy Training is one of two state certified trainings for new advocates. We aim to help first responders and domestic violence advocates work together effectively in a time of crisis. Register 40-Hour Certification To receive the full 40-Hour Certification, advocates must also complete 16.25 hours of the OVC-TTAC Online Training. After completing the online training portion, advocates will upload their training hours to an AirTable link that will be provided. Here is the link to OVC trainings: OVC-TTAC Online Training Travel Scholarship Scholarship preference will be given to CSVANW Members.  NOTE: CSVANW has five scholarships available for November 2023 40-Hour Core Advocacy Training. This scholarship will cover lodging, mileage and per diem. If you are applying for the scholarship, you also need to register for the training. CSVANW will contact scholarship recipients one week prior to the start of the November 2023 40-Hour Core Advocacy Training. The scholarship application deadline is Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 by 5PM (MDT).
