Pheasant stockings make youth season even better
Make memories and spend quality time together: take a young person hunting for the Oct. 21-22 statewide youth pheasant season.
This special season provides a great opportunity to expose young people to hunting in a controlled environment. Plus, pheasants will be released at 19 sites statewide before the season, upping your chances of success.
Resident youth (age 15 or younger) do not need a permit to hunt small game, but nonresident youth must have a hunt permit and habitat stamp. Only youth are allowed to hunt during the youth season, except at designated Special Youth Hunt locations, where accompanying adults also are allowed to hunt.
Visit our website to learn more and see pheasant stocking locations.
