We’re just over a year out from the incredibly important November 2024 election, but in just a matter of weeks, Americans will begin casting the first votes of the year. And that begs a very big question:
Will social conservatives decide the 2024 elections?
My team is working very hard to answer that question with a resounding “YES!” And we have solid ground for believing that can happen.
But we will need your help to make that a reality.
Did you know that in the last two years, far more Americans have come to identify as social conservatives? Just two years ago, social liberals outnumbered social conservatives by four points, according to Gallup’s annual poll. Today, social conservatives have a nine-point lead (38-29).
That’s a 13-point swing that could be enormous in the ’24 elections.
But turning that philosophical advantage into an election advantage won’t happen automatically. It will take an enormous amount of hard work and strategic execution.
That’s where Family Policy Alliance comes in. When I became CEO of this organization three years ago, it was with the knowledge that FPA had already had remarkable impact through elections—from winning U.S. Senate races to flipping control of entire state legislative chambers—for three reasons:
1. Savvy targeting of races using the best political research;
2. Strategic outreach to the right voters using smart data and proven messaging;
3. Superior intel and on-the-ground shoe leather through our unmatched alliance with 40 state-based family policy councils.
Of course, the presidential debates are reminding us that the election is just around the corner. In fact, Family Policy Alliance will be back in Iowa next month for our second major event there this year, in tandem with our allies at The FAMiLY Leader. This event will allow Iowa’s first-in-the-nation voters to hear from the candidates specifically on social issues.
It will be a media circus, and you will likely see a lot of coverage and quotes from it. That’s an important part of the process, and it will help social conservatives in Iowa and elsewhere to get equipped and motivated to make their voices heard.
But then the real work begins—not just in Iowa and not just on the presidential race, but also throughout the country on the most important races of the 2024 election.
The reason I’m writing you today is because your help is needed to accomplish this vision of major social conservative victories in next year’s critical contests. Thankfully, I believe you are already praying for our nation and for the work of the Family Policy Alliance team as well.
But today, I have a specific question for you: Will you support these efforts to help social conservatives win elections in 2024?
You might think that with all of the money in elections, the work Family Policy Alliance does to identify, educate and turn out socially conservative voters isn’t really needed. But the reality is that most candidates—even the really good ones—don’t communicate to voters on our issues very much. That’s even more true with the political parties.
That’s why it’s so important that Family Policy Alliance engages in a major way to mobilize social conservatives in 2024.
When you give, your support will do so much, including:
*Registering social conservatives to vote (still a huge need!)
*Identifying potential pro-family voters using the latest technology
*Reaching those voters in a variety of ways, from digital ads to door knocks
*Training candidates to handle tough media interviews on social issues
*Rallying voters to turn out and more!
