There are two socialists in this country who get an enormous amount of media attention: Senator Bernie Sanders and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Sanders is a hard-core Marxist who believes Americans should subjugate themselves to a federal government that will dictate who has what and control almost every aspect of life. His prevailing philosophy is that capitalism oppresses people, and the free marketplace should not be free.
